The Views at Superstition Wedding
This is a wedding ceremony and reception venue that I hold close to my heart for so many reasons. To start, it is one of the first venues to take me on as a preferred vendor when I was a baby wedding photographer. They also went above and beyond expectations to make my wedding more than I could have ever imagined. As a result, Tracy, Diane and Terri have become family over the years.
Tracy started the business back in 2008, added Diane in 2011 and then Terri in 2012. Together they create a dream team for weddings from start to finish. All three take a personal interest not just in your wedding, but in you as a couple to help create the wedding of your dreams. At our own wedding, Diane even pulled out an iron to press our table runners! She wanted to make sure they were perfect. I remember laughing as I thought they looked good already, but her standards were not yet met. Later at the wedding reception, our family commented on how beautiful the runners were.
This attention to details are what make The Views at Superstition a superlative choice…even over some of the other wedding reception venues I have worked at over the years. With this team, my clients are always more than happy with their photos and the overall experience. And if that isn’t enough reason to check out this wedding venue, let's talk about the location.
How often do you walk into a wedding reception venue and have to stop to catch your breath as you find yourself awestruck by the view? The location in the Superstition Mountains leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to a majestic backdrop enhanced by our dramatic Arizona sunsets. It doesn’t matter if your guests are inside listening to the music and admiring the view from the floor to ceiling windows, or standing outside enjoying a cocktail on the balcony. They will never forget The Views. The versatility of having not one but two outdoor balconies on top of the large ballroom allows you and your guests to find comfort all evening. As a wedding photographer, I've loved using these areas for first looks, license signing, and group shots during getting ready. Another huge plus about The Views at Superstition is that along with a Bridal Suite, they also have a Groom Suite. Both are perfectly stocked to have all the space/mirrors (for the ladies) and large screen TV/couches (for the gentlemen) either party will need. This is great for the couple who want to be on site without seeing each other or feeling too crowded. As a photographer I love using the different areas for capturing genuine moments between families as they go between the two suites. It’s often a time to swap the funny or embarrassing baby stories about the couple or how everyone met. These moments are what you and your guests will look back on when remembering this big day.
The actual venue can be used for wedding ceremonies and receptions with the ballroom or the balcony for either. For those who want the reception at a separate location from the ceremony, there are multiple locations off site, but still close by. And here’s the best part. The staff at The Views will set up both locations. This way you don’t have to worry about finding a second staff. It’s an immense relief to only work with one crew if an off-site ceremony is what you are looking for. We also love it when our bride and groom have an arch for the ceremony site that is then placed in the reception hall over their table. This is something Tracy’s team has done multiple times. They even have a nearby church for indoor summer ceremonies that they can coordinate with you and the pastor.
The Bridge Site
The bridge site is the closest out-door wedding ceremony location that is on the premises. It’s located directly behind the building upon lush green grass with the Superstitions as a backdrop and romantic waterfront in the foreground. This is often where we get beautiful formals of the couple while guests enjoy a cocktail hour just before the grand entrance.
The Tree Site
The next closest site is the intimate Tree Site. Located among a grouping of trees at the Mountain Brook Golf Course, you get the lush green grass along with another beautiful view of the Superstition Mountains. This site is only one mile away from The Views at Superstition.
Lost Dutchman State Park
The team at The Views also works with Lost Dutchman State Park and Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Both offer unique and beautiful locations, giving couples many options to choose from. Tracy and her team handle all of the details, tours, and rehearsals so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
The Views at Superstition Under the Stars
If these options still don’t quite match your dream, Tracy has started offering one more location for both ceremony and reception! This week we had the immense pleasure of joining her and her amazing team for the grand opening of the new Under the Stars Venue. This site, also known as the tree location, has been used for ceremonies in the past. It is now being expanded to include a reception site. Surrounded by the Superstition Mountains, the new venue is picture perfect for anyone who loves being outdoors. Walking up to the location brought back memories of my own wedding day. Seeing it set-up for not only the ceremony but also a reception was lovely. We arrived on site to the soft warm glow of bistro lights and the captivating view of the sunset over the mountains. The dark wooden tables, off set by the golden runners and candle light reflecting off the glassware, made for such a romantic intimate feel to the entire scene. This new location is going to be an unforgettable experience for our clients. We can’t wait to start photographing under the stars!
