Some weddings are less about a single day and more about everything surrounding it.

Sophie and Rohan’s wedding was one of those.

They met in an Engineering Physics class at NAU and have been close ever since. What started as a friendship turned into something steady, intentional, and built over time. That same foundation showed up throughout their wedding.

Their celebration brought together multiple traditions, moments of stillness, and moments of energy, from the Sangeet filled with performances and family involvement, to a ceremony that blended Hindu and Jewish traditions in a way that felt thoughtful and grounded.

Throughout it all, what stood out most wasn’t any single event, but how intentional everything felt. Time with family, quiet moments together, and the balance between celebration and meaning.

When I asked what they hope to see in their photos years from now, Sophie described wanting to relive the emotion of the day, not just what happened, but why it mattered and how far they’ve come.

That’s always the goal.
